The Swedish Embedded Award was presented for the fourteenth time this year. This year's two award categories are:

Business for the best contribution from Swedish companies
Student for the best contribution from students at Swedish universities

In the category Business (Enterprise Category) Prevas won with its entry AmbuMan, AmbuMan is a medical training environment for practicing methods to reverse sudden cardiac arrest. AmbuMan can control up to six training manikins from one system. The student connects wirelessly to the training manikins with their computer or phone and can thus access virtual patient information, or virtual defibrillators. The instructor can control the different manikins and receives all the information from the different users after the lesson.

In the category Student (Student Category) was won by Alex Hedberg, and Florian Curinga from KTH in Stockholm with the entry EVAM System. The student award consists of a scholarship of 50,000 SEK. EVAM System is a warning system for emergency vehicles, which sends warning messages to nearby cars via their sound system. The system, which is installed in the emergency vehicle, sends warning messages to cars in the vicinity and is played in the sound system regardless of the setting. Nothing needs to be installed in the civilian cars.
