Svensk Elektronik has submitted a consultation response regarding Digital Product Passports (DPP).

The EU is promoting Digital Product Passports (DPPs) as a key component in achieving a circular and sustainable economy. DPPs will make it possible to easily scan a product and access critical information on everything from the origin of raw materials and environmental impact to repair and recycling options.

This directive will likely come into force for electronics in 2028. For this to work seamlessly in practice, common standards are required.

Swedish Electronics has acted

Svensk Elektronik has therefore submitted the industry's consultation response to SIS (Swedish Standards Institute) regarding these new standards. We have emphasized the importance of solutions that work for our sector and support the EU's goals.
