Electronics and the electronics industry are important for Sweden's competitiveness. Electronics are required to make our industries and energy production more efficient so that we can achieve global environmental goals, tackle climate challenges and also be at the forefront of the digital transformation. The electronics industry is highly relevant from a security policy and strategic perspective. By channeling funds to this strategic area, Sweden can strengthen its total defense capability and security of supply in the area while strengthening Swedish competitiveness.
