Press release: Embedded Conference grows for seventh consecutive year

Embedded Conference Scandinavia will be held on October 2-3 and for the seventh time in a row the event is being expanded.

ECS has been successful and we are now seeing this mainly in the growing international interest. The number of international exhibitors is increasing and the speaker list now contains over 50 percent foreign speakers.
The reason to go to a conference is to make new contacts and to learn something new. That's why this year's conference is going wider and deeper. The management track is aimed at those responsible for development, projects and products, while tutorials provide in-depth insight into the use of the latest products, methods and tools. Also, what is suitable for which applications.

The conference will be held in Victoriahallen (Embeddedhallen) at Stockholmsmässan in Älvsjö, Scandinavia's most modern conference facility. It offers plenty of space to grow for both the exhibition and the conference. However, it will maintain the compact format that ECS has established.

The conference runs in five parallel tracks and covers everything within embedded technology. An exhibition is held in parallel with the conference, where a large number of Nordic and international embedded companies exhibit their products. This year's candidates for the Swedish Embedded Award are also present.

As before, the ECS organization collaborates closely with research and industry and can offer the best of speakers from both camps. One session in the program is dedicated to how universities can assist industry with further education of industrial engineers.

Some excerpts from the Program:

Software management
New this year is a full session on Software Management that focuses on quality, on-time delivery and budget control. What if you had to choose 2 of these 3? The target group is those responsible for software: architecture, projects and products. Software developers also have a lot to learn here.

Embedded Peripherals
An in-depth session covering the entire hardware and software design process.
Topics include USB3, Flash Memory and EtherCat. FPGA
Always interesting and always full of news. The focus is on using the latest products and tools.

Continuing education for engineers.
Industry has a need and universities present their solutions.

Software Tools
A full day covering embedded Linux development, source code analysis in an agile world and much more

Boards
When is COTS the right solution? About choosing a format and processor. New solutions in high-performance backplane systems.

M2M
From operator solutions to intelligent sensor networks in practical applications

Open Source
Developing a prototype with Raspberry PI and FOSS. Update on the OpenEmbedded project and more.

Keynote speeches come from
Jan Bosch; Chalmers University, talks about the future of software architecture in complex systems.
Andreas Olofsson, CEO and Founder, Adapteva Inc, looking 5 years ahead. What do built-in systems look like in terms of size, price and performance?.

Embedded Conference Scandinavia is organized by the Swedish Electronics Industry Organization with its Embedded Technology section, in collaboration with SEE and the magazine Elektronik i Norden.
