New collaboration for a sustainable and strong Swedish electronics industry

“Electronic systems play a crucial role as Swedish industry adapts to solve challenges in areas such as sustainability, but also to meet global competition and an uncertain external situation,” says Anna Wibom, program manager at Smarter Electronic Systems. Through the collaboration with Produktionslyftet, we have the opportunity to contribute to further strengthening the competitiveness of electronics companies in Sweden.

Since its inception in 2007, Produktionslyftet has collaborated with a large number of industrial companies in extensive development programs, several of which are in the electronics industry. One example is Eskilstuna Elektronikpartner (EEPAB), which participated in Produktionslyftet in 2008 and 2019. Mikael Joki is CEO of EEPAB and he is also a board member of Smartare Elektroniksystem.

“For us, the Production Lift was about establishing a common set of values and goals,” says Mikael Joki. Once we agreed on what we wanted and what was important to us, it also became easier to talk to each other and be clearer to customers and suppliers. We have increased the commitment among our employees, but above all, we now speak with one voice.

The initiative for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the electronics industry is funded by Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency and Formas. The offer includes the following concrete and free interventions:

  • Visit to Produktionslyftet and dialogue about needs
  • Introductory activity, insight into your own challenges and change work
  • Participation in the Production Lift startup program
