Uppsala University

Uppsala University is the first university in the Nordic region, founded in 1477, ranked as one of the 100 best universities in the world and today has around 55,000 students and 7,600 employees. The university runs 80 undergraduate programs, 100 advanced programs and postgraduate programs in 164 subjects and graduated 337 doctors in 2024.

At the Department of Electrical Engineering, 160 employees conduct successful research and education in electrification and digitalization and contribute to important technical energy, health and social developments: primarily in renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, industrial IoT, 5G/6G communication and wireless sensor networks, smart electronic sensors and medical systems.
