NordAmps AB

NordAmps is a Swedish company developing next-generation nanowire transistors for high-frequency wireless communications and advanced processor applications. Their technology combines high-performance III-V materials with the scalability and cost-effectiveness of silicon-based CMOS manufacturing. This enables faster data transfer, improved performance and reduced power consumption, especially in high-frequency 5G bands. 

Founded in 2016 as a spin-off from Lund University, the company has since focused on refining its manufacturing process and design to integrate vertical nanowire structures directly onto silicon. Their InGaAs nanowire transistors on silicon offer competitive performance in terms of cut-off frequency, linearity, noise performance and breakdown voltage. 

NordAmps offers its technology through technology transfer licensing agreements, which give semiconductor manufacturers access to their design library with the option to purchase manufacturing licenses. They are also open to partnerships with semiconductor equipment manufacturers to optimize tools for this technology.
