Directive Day – a success on tour

Directives can be fun!
A selection from the agenda: The Swedish Chemicals Agency's Cecilia Westöö explained in detail what REACH, POPs and RoHS mean. Intertek's Mats Forkman explained how we should think about Conflict Minerals. Svensk Elektronik's chairwoman Maria Månsson described what news we need to know about EMC, RED and other directives, and led the afternoon workshop where the participants received answers to many of the difficult questions surrounding interpretations and best practices.
Many participants have testified to how much it helped them understand how the directives affect them and how they can work further. A time- and cost-effective (completely free for members!) way to get a handle on the regulations and how they should be complied with.

Chairwoman Maria Månsson welcomes you to Directive Day. And then goes through the product package, CE marking and changes in a number of directives.

Cecilia Westöö, the Swedish Chemicals Agency, describes in detail how the legislation for chemicals in products works and how market surveillance has been carried out.

Mats Forkman, Intertek, explains the background to Conflict Minerals and the requirements of Dodd Frank Act Sec 1502

Eager discussions where many questions are asked and answered immediately.
