Digitalization and Industry 4.0 at this year's autumn meeting
We all hear a lot about Digitalization and Industry 4.0, but what does this mean for Swedish companies? What opportunities and challenges are there?

Mats Lindoff
The day, which was moderated and led by Svensk Elektronik's chairwoman Maria Månsson, began with Mats Lindoff, Strategy Consultant and co-owner of Combain AB and former CTO Sony Ericsson, giving examples under the theme "IoT - From mobile phones to connected screws". Mats provided interesting insights into the history and what is coming up in the future.
After Mats, Andreas Rosengren, specialist in automation and industrial IT, Prevas AB, continued to talk about the importance of digitalization and Industry 4.0 – the new industrial revolution.

Mikael Joki and Monica Bellgran
We then heard about how to make the most of the opportunities that exist, including through our strategic innovation program, Smarter Electronics Systems. Mikael Joki, Eskilstuna Elektronikpartner and Monica Bellgran, Teknikföretagen inspired through conversations about the opportunities that exist. A help for companies in Sweden to stay at the forefront and remain competitive.
How much do you know about clothes that monitor your health or measure your movements? Smart textiles that revolutionize our lives and improve people's everyday lives. It was inspiring to hear the Secretary General of TEKO (Swedish Textile and Fashion Company), Cecilia Tall, speak on the topic Electronics + Textiles = Smart Textiles. An example of how electronics is the foundation of digitalization where everything in our society is becoming smarter.
Important discussions

Magnus Eriksson, Stockholm International Fairs
In addition to exciting seminars during the day, important discussions were also held in sections and in whole groups about how we want to develop the Scandinavian Electronics Event, the SEE industry's meeting place that has been created at the request and needs of the industry. Magnus Eriksson and Anders Rudestad from Stockholmsmässan talked about the outcome of 2016 and what suggestions they have to make SEE 2018 even better.
It is important for the industry that you, as members, have the opportunity to influence your business arena.
During the day, the association's autumn meeting was also held, where Svensk Elektronik's chairwoman Maria Månsson presented, among other things, the proposal for the 2017 business plan, the document through which you, the members, prioritize what the association should do. Several interesting discussions came up with suggestions and ideas, before the business plan was hammered out. PA Emilson, the board's finance manager, presented the budget that was decided for 2017.
Networking and mingling – opportunities for business
Discussions and new knowledge are in full swing. It is also important to create new contacts to lay the foundation for new business. The day therefore included good opportunities for mingling during several breaks, but not least at the evening mingling and dinner to which all members of Svensk Elektronik were invited.
Thank you for this year!
Thank you for 2016, we look forward to meeting you all around the country in 2017.
